Caring Hearts Feline Rescue and Adoptions

Caring Hearts is a 501 3C non-profit organization dedicated to rescue and adoption to new homes of unwanted cats and kittens. Our organization was founded by Wanda True and Greta Miller in Versailles and now has approximately twenty foster homes in Woodford, Jessamine, Madison, and Fayette counties.  We have been rescuing cats and placing them in new adoptive homes since 1999. 

Our foster families are the most important part of our rescue group.  The Caring Hearts families provide all food and care for the new cats/kittens.  The Caring Hearts foster families take the cat/kittens to scheduled veterinary appointments.  When the cat/kittens are ready to be placed up for adoption, the foster family will work with the organization to participate at adoption days.  We are usually at Petsmart in Hamburg on Sundays from noon to six. 

 Caring hearts placed 296 cats/kittens in permanent, loving homes in 2006.  We placed 45 spayed or neutered adult cats at local farms.  We also helped spay or neuter an additional 150 stray cats through our efforts in the Trap, Neuter, and Return program. The TNR program is controlling the overpopulation of stray cats in the most humane way by allowing them to continue to live out their life without reproduction.

We rely solely on money from our adoption fees and donations from caring people like you to keep our rescue active.
